Malleus Maleficarum

I think the hardest thing is to look at yourself and expose
the things that are not pretty, the darkness we try to hide.
With these self portraits I’m trying to find beauty in ugliness,
in flesh being pushed and pulled, in imperfection.
It’s uncomfortable and challenging not just for the physical but also the emotional and psychological self. The goal is to get from a place of resistance, submission, and tension, to one of acceptance and compassion.
